Kenyan entrepreneurs, innovators, and knowledge-seekers are set to benefit from a new resource – the Human-Centered Design (HCD) Toolkit – now available in public libraries thanks to an initiative between the Feed the Future Kenya Innovation Engine program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International


In June, Wanda Organic Founder and Managing Director Marion Moon participated in the GES 2016 at the invitation of the White House and with support from USAID Kenya and East Africa Mission. The event, held since 2010 as a presidential initiative, aims to showcase inspiring entrepreneurs


By the end of May 2016, a total of ten advanced agricultural innovations had qualified for a total of Sh 380 million in pilot roll-out (Stage 2) funding from USAID via Feed the Future Kenya Innovation Engine. The ten include three enterprises which graduated from the program's proof-of-concept stage in which they successfully tested new innovations in the field with support from the Innovation Engine.


At the end of May, Amtech Technologies, Kenya Biologics and Wanda Organic represented the Innovation Engine in an exclusive Live Event at the U.S. Embassy aimed at providing an experiential awareness of U.S.-government supported projects within the Kenya Mission.


In May, Peter Waga the Value Farms innovation champion took part in the World Economic Forum as a panel facilitator for the Smallholder Working Group Session of Business Models, as part of the Grow Africa Investment Forum 2016 held in Kigali, Rwanda.


In May, Value Farms Executive Director Peter Waga was among several entrepreneurs who received an Entrepreneurship for Impact award from E4IMPACT Foundation for positively transforming the lives of smallholder farmers in Siaya
